Bikini Bottom Jail is a local jail in Bikini Bottom. It has appeared nine times in the series and in several video games. The jail was first seen in Hall Monitor where Mrs. Puff is seen in jail. It would later appear in No Free Rides where Puff is seen going to jail again. Its biggest appearance is possibly in Doing Time where several things are revealed about it. It is shown to have a rock hammering station, a kitchen, and many cells. Spongebob goes to jail in Driven to Tears for littering after a fight with Patrick. Squidward Tentacles goes to jail in Good Ol' Whatshisname for stealing Mr. What Zit Too Ya's wallet and running a stop sign after trying to win a contest at the Krusty Krab. Plankton breaks out of prison in Krabby Road and forms a band with Spongebob, Patrick, and Squidward, before being arrested again for stealing the Krabby Patty formula. After winning a suffleboarding award as Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy in the episode of the same name, Spongebob and Patrick arrest everyone in Bikini Bottom for petty crimes, causing the jail to explode due to an overflow of people. The people later mistakenly think that it was Mermaid Man and Branacle Boy who had arrested them and chase them out of the hospital. Mrs. Puff is arrested again in Summer Job for littering and is taken to jail. The jail would reappear in Jailbreak! were Plankton tried to escape using a group of inmates and take over the Krusty Krab. He is stopped by Mr. Krabs and Spongebob. Most recently, the prison appeared in The Executive Treatment, after Patrick is arrested for disrupting a major business, but he escapes with Spongebob. Most of the main characters have been seen in the jail at some point. Mr. Krabs and Sandy are among the only characters that have not been seen in prison, though they have both been arrested. In addition to the previously mentioned kitchen and rock hammering station, the jail is shown to also have a sea horse ball court, a room of solitude, a large ball and chain attached to the side of the outside of the building, and a large fence around the perimeter.
